About used BMW satellite & sirius

BMW SiriusXM tuner modules (SDARS — Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service) are mostly post-2010, compatible with the current SiriusXM platform. The module carries its own radio ID, which is what your subscription is tied to — installing a used module means calling SiriusXM to transfer or open service against the new ID.

Module location varies by chassis: F-chassis sedans put it under the rear deck behind the parcel shelf; E-chassis sedans typically use the trunk side wall; X-chassis (E70, F15) tuck it under the driver-side rear seat. Installation is one harness, two T20 screws, and done.

All modules listed here have been powered on for a function check before shipping. The original BMW antenna in your car is reusable — no need to source a new one with the module swap.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about used BMW satellite & sirius

Do I need a new SiriusXM subscription for a used module?
Yes. SiriusXM modules carry their own radio ID, which is what your subscription is tied to. After installing a used module, retrieve the new radio ID (channel 0 on Sirius) and call SiriusXM to transfer or open a fresh subscription. The module itself is fully functional with any active account.
Are these compatible with current SiriusXM service?
All modules we list are post-2010 SDARS units that work with the current SiriusXM satellite network. Pre-2009 XM-only modules may have reduced channel access after the XM/Sirius platform consolidation. We disclose service-era compatibility in the listing.
Where is the satellite module located in my BMW?
F-chassis sedans: under the rear deck behind the parcel shelf. E-chassis sedans: trunk side wall or behind glove box. X-chassis (E70, F15): under driver-side rear seat. Installation is usually one cable harness and two T20 screws.
What do your condition grades mean?
Grade A — fully functional, light wear consistent with age, sold ready to install. Grade B — functional with cosmetic blemishes or replaced consumables noted in the listing. Grade C — functional core with significant wear; pictured as-is, suited for rebuilds. We test every electronic and powered part before listing.
What if the part doesn't fit my BMW?
Every listing ships with eBay's Money Back Guarantee. If a part arrives that doesn't match its stated fitment, you're covered by eBay for a full refund — return shipping included. Confirm your OEM part number against the listing before ordering to avoid the round trip.
