About the BMW G20
The G20 is BMW's seventh-generation 3 Series, on the CLAR platform from 2019 to present. Engines include B46 (320i / 330i), B58 (M340i), and S58 (M3 G80, shared platform but G8x-coded). The 2023 LCI brought iDrive 8 (twin 12.3" + 14.9" curved display) replacing the iDrive 7 single CID on pre-LCI cars.
G20 stock is currently focused on the most-replaced high-value items: Live Cockpit displays, the B58 / B46 engine sensors, B58 driver-assist cameras, and Harman Kardon amplifiers. Body-collision donor cars provide most G20 inventory — lighting, front bumpers, and fenders are the early-life items we pull.
iDrive 7 vs iDrive 8 are completely different hardware architectures — not interchangeable without the matching displays, harness, and coding. Listings call out which iDrive generation a head unit or display came from. xDrive is standard on M340i and optional on 330i; drivetrain parts vary by xDrive presence.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the BMW G20
- Do G20 parts work in pre-LCI 2019–2022 and LCI 2023+?
- Most do — same CLAR platform underneath. The 2023 LCI updated headlights, tail lights, front bumper, grille, and brought iDrive 8 (12.3" + 14.9" curved display) as standard. iDrive 7 (with separate CID) is pre-LCI. Lighting and infotainment swaps between generations need coding.
- Will G20 parts fit G21 wagon, G22 coupe, G26 Gran Coupe, or G28?
- Most interior switchgear, electronics, and front-half body parts interchange across the G2x family. Bodywork from B-pillar rearward is variant-specific. The 4 Series coupe (G22) shares the most with G20 sedan; G26 Gran Coupe and the G28 long-wheelbase variant have unique rear sections.
- Are iDrive 7 and iDrive 8 head units interchangeable in G20?
- No — they use different display hardware (separate CID vs. curved twin-screen), different connector pinouts, and different software architecture. Swapping requires the matching displays, harness, and full coding. Listings explicitly call out iDrive 7 vs 8.
- Do these parts fit BMW xDrive (AWD) models?
- Most interior, infotainment, lighting, and bodywork parts are identical between RWD and xDrive variants of the same chassis. xDrive-specific differences are concentrated in the transmission tunnel, drivetrain, and ABS hardware. Listings explicitly call out drivetrain-specific fitment in the spec table.
- How do I find my BMW chassis code?
- Your chassis code is on the VIN plate inside the driver's door jamb, on the strut tower under the hood, and in your owner's manual under "Vehicle identification." It's a 3-character code like F30, E46, or G20 — the first letter is the platform generation and the digits are the body type. Searching by chassis is the single most reliable way to confirm BMW parts fitment.
