About the BMW F15

The F15 was BMW's third-generation X5, sold 2014 through 2018 with N20, N55, S63 (X5 M F85), N57 diesel, and the X5 xDrive40e plug-in hybrid. The F16 X6 shares front-half parts and electronics. The 10.25" central display ran across most F15 trims; NBT EVO was the standard head unit from 2014.

We stock NBT EVO head units, the 10.25" CID, Harman Kardon and Top HiFi amplifiers, surround-view cameras, and the FRM3 / FEM-BDC modules pulled from F15 donors. F85 X5 M shares interior, lighting, and electronics with regular F15 — M-specific drivetrain and brake hardware is flagged in listings.

US-market F15 was xDrive-only. UK and EU sDrive variants differ only in drivetrain; everything else is interchangeable.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the BMW F15

What's the difference between F15 X5 and F85 X5 M?
F15 = the standard X5 (xDrive35i, 50i, 40e plug-in hybrid). F85 = the S63 V8-powered X5 M. Body, interior switchgear, infotainment, and lighting share. M-specific parts (S63 engine, brakes, suspension air shocks, M-aerokit panels, M-only interior trim) are F85-only.
Do F15 X5 and F16 X6 parts interchange?
Most front-half body parts, interior switchgear, infotainment, modules, and electronics interchange. F16 X6 has the coupe-style sloped roof and unique rear quarter panels, tailgate, and rear glass. Listings flag X5-only vs X6-only.
Do these parts fit BMW xDrive (AWD) models?
Most interior, infotainment, lighting, and bodywork parts are identical between RWD and xDrive variants of the same chassis. xDrive-specific differences are concentrated in the transmission tunnel, drivetrain, and ABS hardware. Listings explicitly call out drivetrain-specific fitment in the spec table.
How do I find my BMW chassis code?
Your chassis code is on the VIN plate inside the driver's door jamb, on the strut tower under the hood, and in your owner's manual under "Vehicle identification." It's a 3-character code like F30, E46, or G20 — the first letter is the platform generation and the digits are the body type. Searching by chassis is the single most reliable way to confirm BMW parts fitment.
What if the part doesn't fit my BMW?
Every listing ships with eBay's Money Back Guarantee. If a part arrives that doesn't match its stated fitment, you're covered by eBay for a full refund — return shipping included. Confirm your OEM part number against the listing before ordering to avoid the round trip.
